"Select stories by America's best western writers," says a blurb on the cover. Brett Cogburn selected and edited the stories. I read all fifteen and found all fifteen to be excellent tales, well written, and covering the horizon of cow-person fiction with considerable variety. One story I might suggest retitling as "Rosey the Cowgirl Ripper."
Lots of writers/readers say, "My to-read pile is soooo big." If so, my recommendation is to buy the book and read it. Don't let it get near the to-read stack.
