Woot!
The JOB (Junior Officer Bunkroom) is the third in the Jon Zachery series. The story is set in 1970/71. After his years of training to be a pilot, Zachery finally gets to a fleet squadron bound for Vietnam. Getting there wasn’t easy. There is a reminder that in Sundown Town Duty Station, while Zachery was going through flight training, his executive officer dubbed him a Magnet-ass. According to the exec, Zachery had a magnet in his rear that attracted trouble. That was in 1968. Two years later the magnet is still imbedded back there.
A few folks who’ve read the first two Zachery books asked me when I was going to write a book with some real flying stuff in it. The JOB is my attempt to answer them.
I’ll be doing some “meet the characters” Blog blurbs in the days to come.
The title is live on Amazon in paperback format. There will be hard cover and ebook. The ebook formatting generally takes a few extra days.
It is not on Barnes and Noble yet. They don’t pick it up quite as quickly as Amazon.
Before, when I finished a book, I got post partum depression. But I am happy about this one. I think it is because I am almost finished with another one. It is a ghost story set in a haunted mansion in Belgium. But that’s a whole ‘nuther story.
